DUBLIN - My Brother

My peoples are sad & so am I...Its been 10 months today since my brother Dublin went to the Rainbow Bridge...even though I know his life wouldn't have been much fun here had he decided to stay longer - he was such a drug addict & practically lived at the kidney specialist, I still wish he was here - every minute of everyday... Here is a pic of him on the day he rescued my mom & dad...March 17, 2001 - a wee pup of 10 weeks...

ITS RANDAY!

Happy Randay Everybody! Well, my Grandma (aka G-Ma) left this afternoon & I am very sad to see her go...she also brought along my G-Aunt as well...As you can see from above, I was hugged & belly rubbed & rumped rubbed to near inches of my life...So it was a wonderful few days...
My G-Ma gave me this wonderful pink teddy bear...& we played tug with it for hours...ok...not hours...but long enough until I wanted the bear for myself & went in the corner to play alone...& we played lots of tennis ball fetch & catch too...
My G-Ma likes my paw paws as well...she would tickle them & then I'd kick her...a fun game for all!
Today all my peoples went to visit the seals that live at the La Jolla Shores here in San Diego...Its a big joke in my house that when I flip my paw paws outward, I resemble one of these lovely plump seals above...I don't really see the resemblance at all...
It was a very fun weekend with my G-Ma & G-Aunt...I was smiling the entire time! On this Randay, I am thankful for my G-Ma & G-Aunt & all the attention they gave me. I LOVE YOU!

Grandma is Coming to Town...

Hey! Guess what? My Grandma is coming to visit! I can't wait! She's from MN & is getting outta the cold cold weather...Maybe I should ask her to bring along some snow... & then I can make it yellow!

So my mom/secretary won't be able to get back to the 'puter till Friday...Plus - I have to stay at Winton's house for a couple of days this week...oh well...I'll get to see my Grandma after that...so I'll have something to look forward to!

My Grandma is really fun...she makes the bestest cookies & rolls around the floor with me to play...don't all Grandmas?

ITS RANDAY!

Well - the Chargers lost...& Winston is still here....so needless to say its been a disappointing Randay so far...Here I was all excited at the beginning of the game...
& then it kept getting worse....I couldn't even look..
I kept my head hung low as I tried to do a little sunbathing today...while enjoying a nice stick...but Wincompoop was always by my side...He's like a mosquito...bzzzzzzzz....
Then I snapped out of my sad slump from the game & celebrated Randay with a couple of tennis balls...
Now its almost time to go to sleep - the slumber party with Winston ends tomorrow...THANK DOGNESS! On this Randay, I am thankful that my dad came home in time to watch the losing game with me.

A Kind & Gentle Soul...

I had to get my shots updated this week & since Winton & I go to the same vet for that...guess who came along? I was my usual cool self...Vets don't bug me much...except when they want to see my beautiful black behind for activities other than rump rubs...but I tolerate it cuz I'm such a kind & gentle soul. Here I am above hanging out at the vet...They changed their treats in the treat jar to something really tasty...I had about 10 of them...
Well, Wincompoop (aka PipSqweek...real name Winston, my cousin) needed to have his nails trimmed & he went POSTAL - PSYCHO - take your pick! They needed 3 vet techs to restrain him - & still couldn't get the job done..now he has one paw with short nails & the other three are still razor sharp. Oh, & the pièce de résistance? He sprayed his anal fluid from his anal sacs like a skunk & got it all on the techs! Oh - the stench was unbelievable...& he had to ride home in the car like that - stinking everything up... So now he is hanging with us for the weekend...his peoples went on a little get away...& funny thing is, I'm trying to get away from him too!

Here I am at the doggy wash a couple days ago...the water is too cold outside to bathe al fresco..so my mom/secretary takes me & I have nice warm bubble bath...I even let her use the blower on me...I HATE THAT THING...but as long as she didn't get it in my face...I tolerated it...again...a kind & gentle soul I am...
Pippa asked me yesterday if I like balls...I like tennis balls, squeeky balls, footballs, big balls, little balls...you name it..I like it...but I don't think I'd like these balls that Nanook & Pooka's mama are talking about...they might scare me & I might not be so kind & gentle then...

Somethin' Smells Fishy...

Meet Mr. Fishy...he was in my Christmas stocking...He's been my new favorite toy along with Mr. Sqweeky Piggy anyway... He's the perfect bitesize toy... & he's a very special fishy that can live on land & not in water!

Skinnie-Minnie & a Bully Stick

I had to go to the vet today to see if I'd lost any more weight...I'm down to 87.5 pounds! I could blow away in the Santa Ana winds that are coming my way this week! The docs think I'm at a great weight & I get to start eating a little bit more...YIPPIE! & to celebrate, my mom brought me to a doggie store & guess what I got to pick out?... A BULLY STICK!
I've NEVER had the privilege of tasting a bully stick before....You can see I'm in awe...my tongue is trying to twist itself around this delicacy ....mmm.....
Oh my dogness...this bully stick is amazing! I've only had rawhides & nylabones before...but never something this tasty!
Now I know what everyone is talking about...I'm going to have a serious sit down chat with my mom/secretary to see why the heck I'm 7 years old & this is my first bully stick...
My mom/secretary was in my face the entire time...I had to do some crowd control...
