Butt - A - Nut Squash & BACON!

Well, I survived the stink of the kitchen yesterday & didn't try any soup..too much other stuff mixed in...maybe next time...& I guess I'll post the recipe later since my dad is still alive this morning...Here I am with my trusty rabbit, Mr. Carrot...we were protesting the presence of any other orange vegtables cooking in the kitchen, but it didn't really work...
For all of you who asked if this thing really is as stinky as I claimed it was...I thought so...I didn't even want to be in the kitchen when my mom/secretary/half-ass chef was doing all the prep work...until this....
Behold the wonderous smells of BACON! I dedicate this picture to Sir Bacon (aka Sir Chance-Lot) Once my sniffer got a hold of this delicious scent, I was in a bacon trance! I didn't even know that there was bacon in the soup! So I sat at the feet of my mom like a good little girl should until I was offered a piece (a very small piece). Plus, I learned some great begging tips from Pippa yesterday which will come in very handy during the holidays....I was able to eat more bacon with my dinner last night...mmm...carrots & bacon....I love it!
Love & Licks,
Randi

Hi Randi, Congrats on your amazing weight loss. that's very excellent. we're jealous of your bacon. our mom is a vegetarian, so we will probably never taste or smell bacon. she buys a cheeseburgers for our birthdays though. we sure do like those.

OMG, that bacon looks sooooooooo good! I have a Mr. Carrot too but he doesn't look anything like yours! Mine is a squeaky orange carrot with eyes and nose and a mouth! His squeak is what makes him so special! It's LOUD!

Hi Randi! That bacon looks amazing! My mom is vegetarian too but she cooks meet just for me a couple of times a week, otherwise I mostly eat dry food. Her risotto is awesome, and it's all just for me :)

Randi, There is nothing ... NOTHING ... as glorious as bacon. I just don't understand why I'm not allowed as much as I want. I asked for bacon every day in my kibble. Did I get that? No. I asked for a bacon jacket. Did I get one? No. So I went all out and I asked for a dog bed lined in bacon, but Noooooooo. That would be too greasy, she says. So I said, fine. Then I'll roll in cat poop, and she said Noooooooo. I don't get people. They make no sense to me whatsoever.

Bacon - that must be sort-of like the rashers things that misery cooks. We're another vegetarian household but these rasher things are VERY NICE. Droolerific. She's run out at the moment though.

Pippa

PS I am dreaming about you today as you asked so nicely. xx

PPS Didn't realise I was sharing you with Wally though. Not to worry - I'm easy going and open-minded.

You crack me up, girl! Protesting orange vegetables with Mr. Carrot!

If that squash is named Butt-a-nut, then you'd think it would be really great smelling. Good thing you noticed the bacon, and glad your mama wisely gave you some!

Goober love,
Stanley
