My Cousin Winnie

Remember when I told you about Win-com-poop (aka my cousin Winston) going all postal at the vet when they tried to cut his nails? Well, the vet suggested that he be tranqualized if he were to have them cut again, cuz they couldn't even finish one paw last time...
So, my mom/secretary/drug dealer went back to the vet & got a bottle of downers for Winston...he took two this afternoon (vets orders to see how he'd react) & now he is as laid back as an irish wolfie! Tranqualizers are great! I suggest them for anyone who has a pesky dog/cat/bird/squirrel or human in their life...
Here is a pic showing how freaking crazy Winnie is...See how strung out he is? That's just his normal M.O. He has an appointment tomorrow morning to get his nails cut...Hopefully he won't spray his anal juices all over the vet techs again...maybe he'll be so relaxed that he'll just pee...that will smell better...

ITS RANDAY!

Happy Randay Everybody! Its another Rainy Rainy Randay here in Southern California...I had to search all over my dog house to find a little patch of warmth to sun my belly in...& this was all I could find....& then my mom/secretary left me ON RANDAY only to go & see this....
NEWFIES! The Silver Bay Kennel Dog Show was being held here in San Deigo...so she was unfaithful to me on my very own Randay...but she did get to meet lots of cool pups...

This big guy reminds me of Mango...or a cousin of Mango...he was a little camera shy...
I'm not sure who this reminds me of...maybe a cousin of someone over at the 4B's... But this poodle had more Aussie Hairspray in its hair than most 80's heavy metal bands!
This beautiful girl was at the Newfie "Meet the Breed" booth...My mom/secretary forgot to write down her name...whatever it is, it means "Love" in some odd language....she was too busy getting Newfed with slobber to remember to take good reporter notes...GEEZ! Must remember to dock her pay for today...
BULLY STICKS! The Bully Stick vendor was there too! Oh...what a wonderful sight!
Did I get a bully stick? NO! I know! The horror! But I was presented with this yummy cheese & meat filled bone that I've been making a mess of all afternoon...

On this Randay, I'm thankful for all the puppies that slobbered/drooled on/sat on & pushed over my mom/secretary this afternoon...they make me look like a very well behaved girl...

Happy Randay Everybody! I've had a great Randay so far....sleeping in, cuddling with my mom, breakfast, walkie, lunch, walkie, about 4 naps & the bestest doggie treats ever were hand fed to me...I'm in a trance...see pic above...when this stuff...see pic below is smelled by my super sniffer...
FREEZE DRIED LIVER!!!!!! OH. MY. DOG....
I have to do a series of silly tricks...here I am doing a high five...or four...
mmmmm...oh...sooo...goood!!!!
I'm so well trained that even my mom/secretary can put the whole container in front of me & I don't go crazy...Its all a scam...cuz this is my trickery look...it gives my mom the confidence that I won't eat it...If you biggie the pic, you can see I'm really giving the impression that I'm wondering about something totally different than the treats below...like tennis balls, or the upcoming election, or even why stuffie insides taste so good...I'm trying to throw her off & I'm hoping she'll trust me & leave me in the room all alone with the container...cuz I'd INHALE IT ALL!~

Human Error

This is me...looking sad & defeated...as you know, I went to the vet yesterday I thought I had gained back a pound...even though I'm eating more, which was the docs orders...then my mom/secretary/food cop said I'd have to eat less...something smelled very fishy, so I decided to investigate...
If you look back on my bloggy from January 14 - its says I weighed 87.5 pounds at the vet...HUMAN ERROR! Yesterday I was 87.3 pounds! I didn't gain a pound! I LOST .2 POUNDS! Of course the scale was jumping back & forth a bit to 88 pounds...but that's my story & I'm sticking to it...My mom/secretary thought I weighed 86 pounds at the last weigh-in...YOU ARE SO WRONG! The conspiracy has been thwarded... My profile shot proves that I'm as skinny as ever.... So all I have to say (in a Homer Simpson voice) is...
"FOOD GOES IN HERE!"

More Junk in My Trunk...

This morning I had my chauffeur (aka mom/secretary) drive me to the vet...I've been eating a bit more for almost a month now & wanted to see what number was on the scale...This is my sly/bashful/innocent look above...
87.3 pounds! So I've gained about a pound...I think that's OK....hopefully I can still eat more... but I have a feeling the kitchen help (my mom) will cut back a teeny-tiny bit...I must figure out how to get the topper off of the food container & dine buffet style... I deserve a buffet every now & then for losing over 30 pounds!
I'm waiting for some treats after my weigh in...my brother Dublin is carefully watching over the treat jar with another very nice doggy that went to Rainbow Bridge...he was a kidney patient too.
Meet Anee (prounced like Annie)...She's a very pretty doggie that lives with her mom who is one of the nutritional people at UC Davis...Anee was being a guinea piggy today for the doggie cardiologist...they are looking at Anee's heart on the moniter...How cool is that! Anee is going to start training to be a search & rescue doggie...I know she's going to do great...
Here I am on my way home & enjoying the refreshing air & sunny day...I'm napping in the sun right now...I hope everyone else is keeping warm in the burrr cold weather that's everywhere but here..

HERO DOGS SAVE THEIR PEOPLES FROM BURNING HOME....

Randi's mom here....Bella, a 3-year-old Golden Retreiver Collie Mix who was rescued as an abused puppy & Maddie, a 6-month-old puppy Golden Retreiver rescued their peoples from their burning home in Winona, MN this past Friday....& gave their lives to save their peoples....Oh, my heart is just shattered...I have family in the sleeply little village of Winona...Its pretty little town, only about 28,000 people or so...

Hug your pooches real tight today & always...they are here for far greater purposes than our own...

ITS RANDAY!

Happy Randay Everyone! Its a sunny sunny Randay here...a lot better than last weeks rainy Randay...Let me introduce to you my new friend...Ollie the Owl...he watches over the yard & keep birdies from nesting in our patio...he's pretty cool...very mellow, but stern...I'm copying his lethal birdie stare in the pic above...
He doesn't talk much..but that's OK...He's very dedicated to his work as a birdie cop... I'm not much of a birdie chaser...My brother Dublin took care of that kind of stuff...I just watch the birdies...

Here is a flowering bush on the side of my big dog house (ok..the house my peoples & I share together...) Its a pretty pink flower...Pink is my favorite color...
Here I am modeling my new pink flower hat...But I think it might look better on Daisy the Curly Cat's head...its more her size...Guess what? Today is Daisy's 4th Birthday! Go wish her a happy day!
I'm dreaming that I'm smelling flowers that both Pippa & Wally sent me...
Ok...enough of the flower crap...LETS PLAY BALL!

Stuffie Torture & Breakfast

Hey everybody...in my last post I mentioned that Mr. Facially Deformed Gorilla Stuffie was laying face down in a puddle from the rain...I was worried that I might get a call from The Hague in the Netherlands & be accused of torture & suffer the rath...but alas...he is just a bit frosty...its been chilly here at night & he only froze his butt off...nothing else...see....
Turn him over & he is happy & smiling & almost new...except for the missing eye, chewed lip & overall lack of awareness.... Now on to my diet... As most of you know, I've been kicking Kirstie Ally's butt in the diet department & at my last weigh in was a slim 86 pounds or so... They nutritional big wigs at UC Davis said I could increase my consumption of dry food...so I'm going to tell you about my daily diet routine... You can see I get 13 baby carrots chopped up fine...
& then 1 heaping cup of Royal Canin Calorie Control High Protein dry food...Here my mom/secretary/chef is letting me sample them to ensure high quality & freshness...
Then 1/4 can of the wet food is mixed in with some water to make a most pleasing bowl of slop...I am supposed to sit & then speak...

Here I am speaking..."WOOF!"
Then I get to chow down...& lick the inside of the bowl clean...
& the outside of the bowl clean...
& the back of the bowl clean...(if you biggie the pic, you can see a piece of dried carrot suck to the wall...)I still haven't figured out how to get the top off the dry food container to dine buffet style...but I'll let you know when I do...
