Wallymelon for Beginners...

Ok...so all of you know that my cousin, Winston, aka Wincompoop, is staying with me for three whole weeks...Once I found out, I was in mourning...& it went a little sum-thin like this...

Denial (this isn't happening to me!)
Anger (why is this happening to me?)
Bargaining (I promise I'll be a doggie if Wincompoop doesn't stay...)
Depression (I don't care anymore...)
Acceptance (I'm ready for whatever Wincompoop throws my way...)

So since I'm now in acceptance of this 3 week torture, I've decided to teach the little ninny a thing or two... & since July is National Wallymelon Month...its only right to celebrate with a wallymelon initiation...I started with a small Wallymelon...

He didn't know what to do...tired to kick it...what a ninny...
I said, "NO! you gotta smell its wonderous aroma..." He was completely bewildered...as the photo is pure proof...look at his face!
Ah! Behold the center of the Wallymelon...also known as the center of the universe...
With delicate manners, take nibbles of the Wallymelon pieces...
(oops...sorry...crane your head to the right...) His first nibble...

Ha! Bet he can't do this!
Or this...this is the d(y)oga pose called Yummy Yummy for My Tummy...note the extreme balance & coordination of my front flippers & my back right flipper...Pure Doga Guru!
Ommmm...Ommmmm...Ommmmm...
DIG IN!
A wise Doga Yogi once told me...Waste not...
Want not...so make sure you clean the floors of little Wallymelons
Little Wincompoop was getting the hang of it...but I never eat the green...its a bit too bitter for my taste...But I let him find that out on his own...
The same wise Doga Yogi also told me to share....even though its not all that fun...
& here is my pièce de résistance - a little foodie porn for my dear Wally ...The GURU OF WALLYMELON!
Love & Licks,
Randi

it is so nice of you to share the joy of wallymelon with winston.

Okay Randi, That doga pose is the most brilliant thing I have ever seen. I mean really. Why get your beautiful paws dirty when it's so much easier to lick up the floor? I am accomplished at many, many things, but I suspect that amazing doga pose will elude me. I just don't think I bend that way. You truly are a marvel.

Ohmydog that looks like a delicious Wallymelon. But the BEST part is your unique eating form. Divine. I tried doing that but I don't have enough legs.

Hi Randi, Eva gave you and me the Cool Cat award and I had to come visit. I just had a wallymelon post, too. And the melon looks like the same as yours! I can't do that doga position though, wow.

You are such a good teacher. We were able to get some great pointers on the fine art of eating Wallymelon. We really like the dogma stance.

Hi Randi! That wallymelon looks SO tastey - I have yet to have one single morsel this summer. :(

But as for Paws On Grand - everyday is POG for me because I live on Grand! But only until the middle of next month. I bet you miss POG!
